My Back lot tour part II experience

As I was looking at the pictures at the documents of our computer I found this pictures that I took during my travel to Disney World at our first anniversary vacation. This is one of the attraction that Hollywood Studio is offering to its tourists, they call it called Backlot Tour. In here you will see all the tricks of making a movie. This is the first tour experience that I want to see if ever I could go back to Florida. Amazing and I love to watch it again and again What I love in this attraction is there’s no need for you to walk all need is sit, relax and take souvenir pictures and you will enjoy the tour. In this part, the driver stops so tourists experience while the tram is bouncing up and down in a simulated earthquake, then fire is all over the place and comes next is too much rain that makes the area flooded

Here, as a result of heavy rain the water is flowing that you think it would be heading to your direction and them you would want to scream because you car is shaking as if you experience another earthquake. Oh don’t get scared it’s just a trick. The water that you see will flow underneath before it hits you. If you sit on the left side you will surely get wet because of the splashes of the water.
In this part you will see a tank of gas that was caught on fire. It will explode, you will feel the heat but don’t get nervous, it's safe...LOL. I could see some of the tourists were scared but others they just stare blankly and I heard some chuckling, saying awesome and unbelievable. You will be thinking what if this happens? Sorry my dear there is no way that you can get out of it – lol. You are inside and trapped. All you need is pray that everything would be alright and you came out safe…..

Anyway this are only tricks that the whole tour wants us to experience- how it is shoot or made... In the movies that we watch it appears that the scene is really true but it’s fake. In order to catch the watchers attention the producer would think of a situation and do some tricks that would made the public believe that it is good to be true. In this tour you may think that it’s boring but when you sit, your tour starts and the fun begin. I would suggest that you try it and you will enjoy….. There are lots of pictures that I took on that trip to Orlando that I did not post yet on my blog because I don’t have much time on the computer.

Playing Bejeweled Blitz on Face book

When I go to face book the first that I did is reading comments the friends leave at my page. Second I searched for names of old friends that I remember and when I find them I read first their profile, look at their pictures and in the end add them to my list of friends and if it doesn't work I sent them an invitation to add them. At first I don’t like going back to Face book because it is not that friendly (ika nga) like Friendster because it has new features that are new to me. Its not that I could not understand its features, I am just lazy to explore is the right word for it. None of this kind in the forest that I know – LOL. Not like before, that I am still a neophyte to the world of the internet that I really try my best to learn and explore this things until the program shuts down because never did I know that it picked-up virus already. I said I don’t care we have lots of IT’s in the office, they could fix that –Lol . Call me bad but it’s really true if you want to try something that interests you, you will really try it no matter what, right?
Anyway, now the reason why I frequently goes back to Face book is the games that they have in there. At first I was just observing my husband and I am thinking why he takes so many hours at Face book when at his Friendster and Tagged or Emails he just spend 15 minutes or half hour. When I saw that he is playing games I thought that it was the game that is our computer that I usually play. I did not pay attention to it. There was one time that I am tempted to play the free games that the other websites offer but I am afraid I might catch virus instead of enjoyment in playing games. I pity our computer because this is the only one that I and my hubby shared. We can’t afford to buy a new computer because right now it’s just my hubby who is earning. And it’s obvious that one income is coming in. I can’t afford thinking if we lose our computer so much so that we badly need it with our communication, paying bills online and my studies online.
So last night when my hubby ask me if I want to play a game online at Face book I said yes and he introduce me to this Bejeweled Blitz. I am quite hesitant because I said I don’t know the rules in the game and it is just played a minute, you will get scored and times is up. For a beginner like me you have to familiarize first the color and the movement. Right now I got the score of 10,000 not bad for a beginner after half an hour of playing. I repeat and repeat until I got this score. At first I find this relaxing because it takes out my stress but it turns out to that I get glued and addicted to the game ‘coz I want to get a high score other than what I got---lol. Why not try it, it’s free. You will surely enjoy.

Puto Pao

From my previous post I share with you the puto recipe but this one is kinda different because this puto recipe has a filling and we Filipinos call it Puto Pao.
This is the best PUTO PAO ever.... I discovered that the quality of the dough will depend on the quality of milk you use... You can add softened butter as you mix the dry ingredients but the dough will not be perfect white anymore.Anyway, I could say that the best part for the cook is watching people enjoying the food that she cooked... and that's me!! I like watching my family enjoying the food at the table and most of all, I love eating with them... lol

Ingredients:
Batter

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cake flour
1 cup powdered milk
4 tablespoons baking powder
2 1/2 cups water
3 pieces whole eggs

Topping

2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/4 kilo ground pork or beef or chicken
2 tablespoons minced celery (optional)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon seasoning
pinch of salt
pinch of sugar
pinch of pepper
pinch of MSG

Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cake flour, milk, baking powder, water and eggs. Mix until well-blended. Set aside for one hour.

2. Prepare the topping: In a skillet, heat oil and cook ground meat until brown. Add the celery, soy sauce, seasoning, salt, sugar, pepper and MSG. Stir mixture occasionally until ground meat is cooked.

3. Pour puto batter in greased small muffin cups about half full. Add a tablespoon of topping in each cup. Steam for 10 to 15 minutes.

Super Busy

Once again, I have had a super busy weeks. So pardon my absence on this blog for two weeks :(

First, I was busy with my part time job from Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and on Wednesdays, my day-off friends invite me to go out. Seems they are already aware that every Wednesday is my day-off so they are already waiting for it every week. My Sunday is laundry, cleaning time; go to church and grocery day. Ugh, I thought I already escape from not attending the bridal shower of one of my hubby’s cousin’s daughter last Saturday and because of being busy I just sent my gift so she will not be disappointed.
Second week, the weekday routine is still the same and this Saturday we went to Secaucus. For those who are not aware where this place is, let me give you a brief description; it is located in Meadowland, New Jersey. Secaucus is the first true suburban community outside Manhattan, just five miles from Times Square. Residents, as well as visitors staying at the community's many fine hotels and motels can be in Manhattan in as little as 20 minutes via express bus. Or they quickly can be on their way to other points in via the New Jersey Turnpike or State Route 3, both of which pass through the town.
And just across the Hackensack River, a mile away, is the area's sports and entertainment center, The Meadowlands, are home of the Giants, the Jets, the Nets, the Devils, the Red Bulls, and the Seton Hall Pirates; concerts, circuses, ice shows, weekly flea market; and the Meadowlands Race Track.
Location! What makes Secaucus great for residents and visitors also makes it great for business. Secaucus is the corporate home of many major businesses and a distribution center serving Manhattan and Northern New Jersey. Its proximity to New York offers quick delivery.
Anyway we go there to attend the yearly celebration of Philippine Fiesta in America. Since this is my first time I was amazed to see the sorroundings, and meeting some Filipino who now lives in America. It’s really a great 1 day visit although the event is held for two days. The fiesta is held at Meadowlands Expo Center, Secaucus New Jersey. The event caters Trade Exhibitors from Philippines and US. There is business networking, Cultural &Food Festival and highlighted by International and local entertainers. My visit is a whole day of fun. I will post some pictures on my next post. For now I will go back to my studies. I am newly enrolled at an online/distant study on Medical coding. I have to concentrate first so I could send my first exam….. Good night everyone….

A Tribute To The Philippines Beloved President Cory Aquino

TwitThis

This was the People Power in 1986. I was still newbie at working in one of the radio station in Samar. That time we are campaigning for Cory who runs for the snap election. Though that time my father's uncle was the governor of Western Samar and known alliance of Marcos. I and my co-workers in the radio is supporting Tita Cory silently. This was because we are members of the media so we are not allowed to side any political party. Being a first time voter, I intellegently give my vote without selling it to the other party at that time were money is just a hand away.As a Namfrel member of Samar Chapter and having the privilege to announce the truth and the real score of result of elections, we feel and we know that she wins.I am happy that I was once a part of Tita Cory's winning the race.

Tita Cory, I am PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO!we love you!You are not alone. We are hoping that the Filipino people will continue to fight for the rights that you are fighting for and uphold the freedom and dignity that you once dream of....
