Manny Paquiao Wins

This morning when I get up I was looking for the news about Manny Paquiao. I am trying to know how was the fight of Manny with De la Hoya in Las Vegas. It's over! The dream match has ended and Manny Pacquiao has won another big fight, beating the one of the greatest fighters he has faced. Pacquiao ended Oscar de la Hoya's dream of ending his career on a high note by stopping the Mexican-American in the ninth round. Oscar de la Hoya quit when he failed to answer the bell for the ninth round thus giving the Filipino fighter his biggest victory to date.I was happy to know that once again this fellow kababayan prove to the world that he could bet this giant (the way I call De la Hoya). It was predicted that he will win (De la Hoya) because he is big and tall. But Manny has proven in the saying that “walang malaki na nakakapuwing”. just take a look at this video…. just click the button its already a full video
I will watch his fight on the tv(i like a big tv screen) when HBO replay it as $ 54 pay per view is too much for me. Knowing that Pacman won is enough for me to CONGRATULATE him. Thank you for making us Filipinos proud of you….

WOMAN SWEPT TO SEA DURING MARRIAGE PROPOSAL ON OREGON COAST

I am about to close my computer after blogging when i saw this video in one of the site. I decided to open again my blog to put this sad news here... For her family in the Philippines being a Filipina i know it will be hard for them to accept the news of their daughter. My sympathy and condolence to the family.I just hope that the rescuers could find her.
The News....
NESKOWIN, Ore. — A romantic marriage proposal on the Oregon coast turned deadly for the bride-to-be when a wave swept her out to sea. Scott Napper had taken 22-year-old Leafil Alforque to Proposal Rock near Neskowin Beach to pop the question at a place that got its name from couples ready to marry. Napper and Alforque had been dating since they met on the Internet in 2005.

But Alforque had arrived in Oregon on a visa from the Philippines just three days before the fateful trip to the coast.

Napper said the tide had receded around Proposal Rock on Saturday when the couple began to walk to it. He planned to propose and give her the ring he carried in his pocket.

About 10 feet from the rock, a wave about 3 feet high suddenly came toward them.

"I turned into it to keep from getting pulled under it," Napper said.

By the time he turned to find Alforque, only 4-foot-11 and 93 pounds, she had been caught by the receding waters.

"She was about 30 feet away, getting swept away," Napper said.

The 45-year-old Silverton man tore off his jacket to get rid of any extra weight, and when he looked up again she was gone.

"That's the last I saw of her," he said in an interview Wednesday, breaking into tears.

Emergency personnel called by a someone on the beach arrived within minutes. His own phone no longer worked after being exposed to the water.

Along with rescuers, he searched for any sign of Alforque.

"I yelled for her," he said. "I was praying to God."

At one point, he saw someone wearing red _ the color of her jacket _ on the shore signaling for him. But he quickly realized it was a rescuer.

Thick fog and dangerous water conditions hampered the rescue efforts before the search was suspended on Monday.

Her 25-year-old sister, Nova Alforque, said the family hopes the body can be recovered.

"My mother is always crying, day and night," Nova Alforque said by telephone from the Philippines. "She wants my sister back. Even if she is dead, she wants her body to bury."

The Tillamook County Sheriff's Office is routinely checking the beach and looking for possible witnesses, said Sheriff Todd Anderson.

Police don't suspect foul play, he said.

Little Reminder of Christmas

This Sunday we started decorating our house with Christmas tree and the Belen. This my first Christmas day with my hubby and we both did it. I put 2 big Christmas stockings in the wall which I bought from TJ Max and on top of the wall décor is Santa shoe with little Santa carrying the gift. We put our little table Christmas tree and our Nativity. Both of us, I and hubby share our effort and time to make this decoration a success…..Whenever I came home from work I always light it and looking at the lights makes my weary body happy and because I am a sentimental person I could not help sometimes sigh and cry knowing that I am far from my kids and parents.

ELF Lovely

When hubby came home last week he asks me if I read his email to me. I told him no. I ask him why and he said he has a surprise for me there. I am thinking of e-card as he always sends me an e-card. He said it was his surprise instead of asking him again why not open my e-mail. Frankly, speaking I am ashamed of my hubby because now that we are together I seldom check my e-mails. Sometimes the mails stay there for a month before I read it. But this time I open one of the mails and I saw this one he said his surprise for me. I just look at it and forget about it already but then last night i was looking for the pictures that i downloaded at our computer i came across to this one, i smile and said why not put in my next blog so that hubby would be happy to see it here and as a token of my appreciation of his efforts. Take a look at the pic.
He really thinks of me as an elf Santa. It’s funny but I like his effort of making me happy. I love it. Thank you hubby. I love you….
