Are You thankful of the good things that you have?

Folks i will take a break just for a day. Will go to Atlantic City not to gamble he he he, but just to unwind myself, thanks that my boss allow me to have my leave just for a day. Its good enough to breath fresh air and away from the busy dental clinic. Hmmnn hope my boss will not be able to access and read my blog(kungdi lagot ako lol) Before i go i will leave here some questions and quotes from greatest authors of the books for you to ponder. A great question really. I would like to believe that I am, I take time to notice the small things and appreciate that I have what I have. Something as simple as waking up in the morning and looking around me can leave me feeling thankful for a home that I love. Knowing that my two grown up boys (1 age 19 and the other 1 age 17)are doing good by simply being themselves and taking their responsibilities on their own makes me feel thankful for the experience of being a mother and having them as my sons. I have made it a habit to be thankful for something everyday, I mean consciously thankful of something I typically take for granted.

My Valentine's Day

Hello there everyone! How's your Valentine's Day celebration? We went to church after which go direct to the restaurant, dine in at the eat all you can Chinese Restaurant. The restaurant is full of diners mostly families who wanted to celebrate the occasion. This is a time that they could bond with their loved ones. I should say the place is cozy with lots of my favorite dish of course,seafood’s. Too bad I left my cell phone with camera at home.

This morning I left my gift to my hubby before I go to work.

When I come home a card was waiting for me, that comes from hubby.

I didn’t know that hubby will order a dozen of fresh red roses, with small brown teddy bear with a box of chocolates for me. This is a note on the card. Simple but it conveys with words of endearment. In fairness he tries his best to say I LOVE YOU in Tagalog, he he he.

The irony is he was surprising me but when the delivery come he thinks that I was the one who will get it. The deliveryman did not ring our bell the reason why he headed to the door only to find out that he will be signing what he orderrd. So when he hand the box to me I was really surprised lol. Was stuck and the only words that I utter is Thanks Hon. I was happy to know that he did not forget the occassion.

I combine our gifts with each other and take a picture, isn't it nice?Lol

New landmark of Dubai

This bridge is like in the shape of an arch. It could be viewed like an acoustic wave forming a tone compatible with an opera. It could also be viewed like a new moon in Dubai night.

The total cost of the project is around Dh3 billion, including Dh2.5 billion for the new bridge.

It will be a new landmark in Dubai,” Al Tayer told a press conference yesterday. The bridge is 1.6-km long, 64 metres wide and 15 metres above the water level. It will have 12 lanes and track for the Green Line of Dubai Metro. It will have a capacity of around 20,000 vehicles per hour. The bridge will have a metro station, abra station, and a new island that will be built on the Creek, with a theatre for staging various events. The giant arch at the bridge will be 205 metres high and 667 metres long becoming the longest arch-bridge ever built in the world.
The said project will be divided into six phases to expedite the construction work. The first stage includes construction works of the Sixth Crossing at Dubai Creek. The second phase includes construction of intersections at Deira side to serve The Lagoon and Dubai Festival City. The Third Phase includes implementation of intersections at Deira side extending from Nad Al Hamar up to Al Aweer Road.
Phase Four includes building of intersections in Bur Dubai linking the Sixth Crossing with Ras Al Khor (Business Bay Crossing).Phase Five includes construction of intersections in Bur Dubai linking the Sixth Crossing with Shaikh Rashid Road and the Al Garhoud Bridge.The Sixth Phase includes construction of intersections in Bur Dubai linking Ras Al Khor with Oud Metha Road and the Parallel Roads.

When I watched TV, I always go to the news, game programs, movies, etc. In short I go to one channel to another. If only the remote could talk it would shout at me stop clicking me I had a headache of your venturing one channel to the other, lol. After I watched my favorite shows, I do not forget to visit QVC channel. QVC is a TV shopping network. HHmmnn shopping again? Hey what’s wrong with it? Mostly ladies favorite lol. Well this channel features the latest items that you can shop at your convenience. I say convenience it’s because you don’t need to dress yourself especially now that its winter. You don’t need to go out and travel. All you need is click the channel of you remote for your home shopping and list the item number then go to the internet and browse it. One item that attracts me is the cute dolls. I find it fancy and I feel I want to go back to my childhood days so I could play these toys. Well, anyway this is a Newbie’s collection from Marie Osmond. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT GERTY

This morning when I wake up hubby told me that there is a person closer to my heart who will celebrate her birthday. She is already 91 and God Bless her for reaching this age. She’s been in the hospital before her birthday and I was told that she collapse the reason why the aide called 911 to rush her to the hospital. We are suspecting that the dosage of the medicines made her drowsy as she is taking 12 kinds of medicines. With her age I don’t think that this is right as we know that her strength is not enough and her resistance is low. Anyways, going back to her when we called her (Aunt Gerty as we fondly call her) to greet her Happy birthday! Her aura is different, she is happy and full of energy even if we did not see her personally you can tell from her voice that she is good. Though we know that there are bad times and good times we still hope for the best for her. She is the only kin member of my hubby’s family that is alive. She’s been good to me since I meet her, knowing her in person, too bad I could not have the chance to take care of her. I had my job and my time is conflict with the time available from her aids days off. We are hoping that in the days to come she will stay as she is. Good health and full of energy.
