Christmas Day

My day at the day before Christmas was really a hectic and tiresome. Imagine i left the house as early as 6:00 am then go home at nearly 5:00 pm then again went to the cousin's house again for the party. And on the day of Christmas again we went to my hubby's another cousin for a party held at their house. It is their Italian tradition that they still continue up to now. The three children take turns in this tradition. First on the thanksgiving Day the only boy takes care of it, December will be for the girls, the middle on the 24th and the eldest on the 25th. So on the day of Christmas we gather at the house of the eldest coz; they give us their gifts and we give our gifts to the kids too. We open it and said thank you to the one who gave us.Afterwhich as per Italian tradition we started with an appetizers of different cold cuts and bread with butter. When we finished the boys headed to the living room
while waiting for the next course. The next course come the pasta after that rest for a while we occupy ourselves with this bendaroos wax, this is for kids to play and use their creative mind with arts and crafts. Look at my at this picture busy creating star, necklace and eyeglasses while this two is busy decorating the glassThen the main course come which consist the meat,corn, and other italian foods again after that we pause for a while letting our stomach to digest the food that we had. So we made chit-chat with other cousinswhile i take my time taking a picture of this cutleries that they have. The cute knives which the handle is Christmas symbol, the tray, the salt and pepper bottles etc. The last is course came which is tea, coffee, different desserts like cakes and cookies. We ended up at 7:00 pm that's the time that we parted ways, says goodbyes and have our hugs and thank you's for the host and hostess. I really enjoy with them and makes me forget my homesick for a while....When we get home we pose to take picture at our little Belen and Christmas tree and the gifts that we get just to have a souvenir since this is our first Christmas together.

My Day before the Christmas Day

December 24th, was the Christmas party at my hub by's office.I was invited so i go with my hubby as early as 6:00 am. On our way i take this pictures where the weather is not good as it was raining, take a look at the sky and the sorroundings.

In the Summer it was a beautiful grassy baseball field that you could play ball games.Is is wide and long but now that its winter seems it turns to be a skating rink for those who want to try skating though it is not safe he he he. The snow becomes hard already that even if its raining still it did not melt so fast.
Anyway we still proceed to my hubby's office besides the weather. They still held office until 1:00 pm and after that they held a little get together party here are some of the pics i've taken from the occassion. Since this my first Christmas together with them i greet the bosses Happy Hanukkah as they were Jewish but they still respect other employees as some of them are Mexicans, Italian, Polish and American so they held the Christmas party for them. Also this is the time that they could say thank you for their employees who are still loyal to them for years. Though they have ups and downs because of the economy as today we suffer crisis the employees did not left them, still work for them and they said they are blessed with this kind of people that stays with them. They also welcome me as a guest and a newest member of their family being the wife of one of their employee. And i thank them too for accepting me.

After the party at the office we headed home to change. While at home i get a chance to call my family back home to wish them a Merry Christmas. At 7:00 pm we prepare to attend a party at hubby's cousin's home and because i am already tired of the day's activities i was able to take few pictures

While i was waiting for my hubby at the office i took this opportunity to take pictures of their showroom. They have array of kitchen,bathroom materials from floor, counter tops, mirrors, sinks, faucets etc. The company also caters plumbing, heating and airconditioning services for they have professional people that could do the job.....

Had a boring day

Got bored that's why i go out and had fun outside with the snow...
If you are new to this weather you will be excited, you'll be carried away, and be a kid for a while no matter what your age is all you want is to play and enjoy the snow while someone is taking pictures....

Yahweh, You Are Near

It’s already 12:20 am when I went to bed. I could not sleep, was uneasy, so I get up and open the computer. I browse some songs at the Google as I was searching for Christian songs and I came across to one of my favorite. I use to had this CD tape back home which I play at my DVD player during the night. As sometimes out of nowhere I feel the emptiness, sometimes I feel that I am alone and I want to search for something that I could not explain, something that I could not understand. When I had this feeling I resort to playing Christian songs listen and meditate. After a while I would find myself uttering soft words not aware that I am already confiding to the Lord all my troubles, sobbing and after the crying I feel good and I thank Him for listening to me. Do you feel the same too? If you are then I recommend that you too listen and sing. I am 100% sure that whatever troubles that you had now, that you feel you could not open it to your trusted person, go to HIM (Yahweh) you can say anything and He will listen to you. After confiding to Him you will be relieved. You will feel good and you will say I could stand again and conquer whatever trial that would come my way as I had my Saviour. If this is true then come to my blog and write comment as your way of testifying the truth. I am not preaching here (he he he) I am just sharing what I experience. Just try if you are troubled and you seem you have no one to run too, no shoulder to lean on. I just hope you could find inner peace.Cheers!!!!!

SNOW, SNOW, SNOW

Being a first timer, how would you react when you see a snow falling down. You will run out and take a picture. That’s exactly what I did last night at 8:00 pm, dark and only the outdoor light from our outside door was my light. I was so excited when I watch it falling fast. When I saw that the ground was full of snow. The kiddy attitude that was in my nature come out at that moment, with excitement I get my winter jacket, put my hat and run outside, did not bother that I am in my fleece pajama and fleece sleepers. I ask my hubby to take a picture of me with the snow falling over my whole body. It was so cold outside but I did not mind it as l had a souvenir he he he. If it’s not night I am planning to play the snow making snowman out of it. Since it is, I just get into the house and in the morning I am thinking I will do it and would be taking pictures once again. But when I get up this morning I was sad because the snow melts already because it rain during the night. Though I could see some on the roof of the houses, cars, and a little in the ground. Maybe next time when it is daytime I will try to do it. Coming from a place where winter is just a dream for us, I could say WOW this is really true. It’s not just a dream it’s a reality. I know I would be staying here for long and I could feel the weather when it changes but this one is a memorable one for me that I could share with my relatives back home.
